The day started with a dark, moody sky. Kathleen and Craig came together to do a first look at Kathleen’s family home. The house was filled with family and friends getting ready for the ceremony. There was so much love and laughter in the space. You could feel the anticipation and excitement as the ceremony was nearing.
Kathleen’s beautiful bridesmaids assisted her with her finishing touches. Her hair and makeup were perfect. She stepped into her gorgeous lace gown and everyone stood back to take in the moment. I’ve never seen a more beautiful lace dress. Just as Kathleen was finishing getting ready, Craig and his groomsmen arrived at the family home. As we stepped outside for the first look, the sun started to shine through the clouds. You could tell it was going to be the most beautiful day for this family.
Craig waited patiently on the dock as Kathleen made her way to the water. She walked slowly across and called out his name, this is one of my favorite moments of the day. You can’t see them but friends and family are watching behind me and they have the biggest smiles in this moment. You can feel the love radiating from these two.
The wedding party had a fun tractor ride from the family home to The Hillcrest Estate. Driven by Kathleen’s dad the tractor ride was short and scenic, just long enough to enjoy each others company before the ceremony. Guests were starting to arrive as the wedding party gathered together in the main house.
Craig and Kathleen’s wedding ceremony was one of the most personal and heartfelt ceremonies that I’ve been a part of. Readings, songs, and prayer were just a few of the wonderful moments of the ceremony. After Craig and Kathleen walked down the aisle, everyone gathered for drinks and hors d’oeuvres. We snuck away to capture a few shots of just Craig and Kathleen around the Estate.
The Dinner was served family style, and that it was. Friends and family gathered around the tables, laughing and sharing stories. Kathleen’s father shared a special prayer before everyone enjoyed dinner together. The food was prepared by The Hole In the Wall Restaurant from Perry, NY. Craig and Kathleen did a wonderful job using all local vendors for the wedding. Their choices did not go unrecognized, it made the day that much more special.
After dinner, Craig and Kathleen shared their first dance together as husband and wife. Followed by friends and family joining in on the dance floor. The band was playing and the sun was going down, everyone was celebrating together and having so much fun.
Craig and Kathleen chose the most decadent desserts. The display of sweets was mouth watering and the perfect end to the meal and day. Sharing a delicious donut and then heading back to the dance floor to celebrate their love.
Thank you to Craig and Kathleen for choosing Chelsie Renae Photography for your big day! It was one of the most gorgeous weddings, with so much heart and family behind it. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
