Brandon + Ashley were married on September 12th, 2020. It was the perfect Fall afternoon, the sun was shining and there was a cool breeze all day long. Many couples chose to move their wedding dates this year due to the chaos and restrictions of Covid-19. I give Brandon and Ashley so much credit for the intimate, heartfelt day that they put together. It was important for them to keep their planned wedding date, respect the rules in place, and still celebrate the love they share with their close friends and family. To say the day was perfect, would be an understatement.
The thought and intention that went into all the little details of Brandon and Ashley’s wedding day were just amazing. I especially loved sneaking off with some of their closest items for detail shots. Being in Letchworth State Park, it wasn’t hard to find the perfect spot to display their wedding day details. Nature always wins the best background award.
Brandon and his groomsmen were patiently waiting downstairs. It always seems like the guys are ready first and waiting. They gathered around a table full of snacks and gifts, sharing some drinks and funny stories while finishing getting ready. You could feel the excitement and happiness in the room. The guys were ready to get the day going and celebrate.
Ashley and her bridesmaids were busy upstairs in the same space getting ready during this time. The girls were being pampered getting their hair done, and putting on the gorgeous dresses. Then it was time for Ashley to put her Wedding dress on. The girls gathered around, helping her put on the finishing touches. She was absolutely stunning.
Brandon and Ashley chose a beautiful spot for their first look. First looks are always one of my favorite times during a wedding day. Ashley walked down a stone path just close enough to call out to Brandon. When Brandon turned, his face was adoring, his love for Ashley was radiating. It was a special moment for the two of them. To see each other dressed up, ready to continue onto the ceremony location together.
Ashley’s childhood home was transformed into the most gorgeous ceremony spot. Flowers were thoughtfully placed around the space by Genesee Valley Florist. The greenery paired with the beautiful shades of blush pink were whimsical, I couldn’t stop admiring them. Ashley did a wonderful job making custom signs for around the ceremony location.
The ceremony was sweet and heartfelt. Close friends and family gathered together to share this moment with Brandon and Ashley. Everyone enjoyed being there and being part of this milestone in their life together. After the ceremony Brandon and Ashley shared a hello with friends and family, then headed to the tent for a delicious cake cutting.
The Cake Place did an amazing job on the wedding cake. The dessert table was perfect, complete with little camera cookies that I personally loved. Everyone enjoyed a sweet treat with the couple before Brandon and Ashley shared a first dance. Harvest Moon by Neil Young, could there be a more perfect Fall song?
Brandon and Ashley traveled in style back to the park in his family’s Cadillac. This was a fun photo opportunity for all of us. The romance that an old Cadillac makes you feel, I couldn’t stop snapping pictures of these two in and around it.
While the wedding party started celebrating back at the park, I sneaked away with the Bride and Groom for some couple photos at their favorite spots. The photos came easy with these two, they naturally embraced and I loved capturing this day for them.
The wedding party was so fun, and up for anything. It was truly a great group of friends and family members that celebrated the day together. The day came to a close with a quiet sit down dinner, good music, drinks, and love. It was a perfect day.
