The day started with overcast and rain but the weather cleared up just in time for Amanda and Dan to tie the knot. Some people believe that rain on your wedding day is considered a sign of a long and happy marriage. I wish that so much for this wonderful family. I met Amanda and Dan when they chose me to photograph their sweet little guys newborn session and I instantly fell in love with their family, I specifically remember how sweet Amanda was. I was super excited when she contacted me about photographing her upcoming wedding and knew it was going to be a picture perfect day!
Amanda and Dan selected Rosebud Estates to celebrate their wedding day. Rosebud Estates was a photographers dream location set on a 112 acres of beautiful, private countryside. I fell in love with the gorgeous greenery everywhere you looked. The warm, rustic cabins were nestled into the trees. There was no shortage of photo location opportunities at this venue. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for that enchanted forest wedding in the Rochester and Buffalo Area. Rosebud estates in located in Arcade, New York and it was the perfect wedding venue for Amanda and Dan.
I love capturing the little details of your special day with individual photographs, all of these little details are what make your wedding day so special. With Amanda and Dan’s wedding there were so many precious details that Amanda had chosen. From her vintage inspired jewelry, to the gorgeous layers of that luscious wedding gown, everything had so much thought and love behind it. Amanda’s attention to detail definitely shined though with all these amazing little touches.
One of my favorite parts of shooting a wedding day is capturing the anticipation and happiness before the ceremony. On this day the girls were joined together in the main lodge in a beautiful bridal suite. Lots of smiles, and happy stories were shared as everyone was dressing in their beautiful, blush bridesmaids dresses. Amanda’s hair was done by Carli Mountain, and makeup by Paul Norman Hair Designs. The floral crowns were one of the amazing details that Amanda had chosen for her wedding day. It really brought together the enchanted forest feel of the day, everything was absolutely gorgeous.
Amidst the trees was a single rustic cabin. The perfect size for the gentlemen to prepare for the ceremony. Maybe there wasn’t as much girl talk in the cabin, but you could feel the anticipation and excitement from the men as well. Dressed in handsome navy suits, the men were ready to take on the day with camaraderie and support for Dan.
It was finally time for the ceremony. Amanda and Dan chose the rustic gazebo, that was sitting in the middle of a peaceful pond for their special place to say “I do”. The pond, and the trees had that freshly kissed with rain look, the twinkle lights shined from within the gazebo where Amanda and Dan stood holding hands. The sun was starting to come out as these two said their vows, it was a magical moment.
The wedding party was full of love and support for Amanda and Dan. Everyone looked amazing and finished off their looks with a big smile all day long. This rustic log bridge was the perfect location for a wedding party photo, stretched across the beautiful pond with hundreds of lush trees.
Amanda was absolutely stunning in her white wedding gown. Her floral arrangement from Fresh Floral was sweet and whimsical, I loved the seasonal sprigs of eucalyptus in it. Fresh Floral was also responsible for those wonderful Floral Crowns all the ladies wore, I would love to just wear one of those everyday, I’m sure all the ladies felt like beautiful queens.
We sent the wedding party to the reception to get the party started, while Amanda and Dan wandered into the woods to capture their first photographs as Husband and Wife. These are a favorite of mine, of all the photos I take, your first photo as Husband and Wife. This moment makes me feel so blessed to be part of their big day, capturing this season of their life that they will never forget. I can feel the love radiating through the photo.
After spending time with just the Bride and Groom, we headed back to the main venue for the reception. The reception was held in a breathtaking white barn. The barn was vast with a 30ft ceiling draped with white linens. The tables were lined with sparkling rose gold runners with rustic candle light. Every detail was exceptional and representing Amanda and Dan perfectly.
After introducing the wedding party, Amanda and Dan went right into their first dance as Husband and Wife. The moment was still as everyone watched them closely, enjoying their first dance together.
Could they have chosen a more adorable wedding cake? Their cake topper was Beauty and the Beast, with rose gold ribbons lining the layers. Their cake was from Sweet Beginnings Bakery.
After sharing an amazing meal together with friends and family it was time to celebrate and dance. Dinner was delicious and catered by Buffalo’s Best Catering by Kim. Laughter, singing, and great energy was coming from the dance floor all night long. It was such a magical, fun day.
I’d like to say Thank you to Amanda and Dan for not only allowing me to photograph your wedding day but all of your special milestones with your beautiful family that you have shared with me. I wish you a long, and happy marriage filled with lots of love. xoxo, Chelsie
